Dramatic Dream

A couple nights ago, I had a pretty cool dream. At least the scenes I remembered were.

Scene 1 - Me walking through a mysteriously dark and creepy library....oooooooo....

Scene 2 - Me escaping from a store on fire.

Ehm....I didn't draw the pic to represent scene 2 because at first, I simply drew a stick figure running away from flames....didn't really capture the 'thrill' and the 'drama'. So just picture this scene in your head okay?

And Now ....

The most dramatic scene of all!

Scene 3 - Me teaching a girl how to set up an anti virus.

Yup. You can have a second to take in all that drama from scene 3.
Done? Okay.

Heh heh. I honestly don't know how it went from dark libraries to escaping from a flaming store to teaching a girl how to set up an anti virus in her phone. Oh well.
That is just how some dreams are, I guess. They never truly make sense (at least not to me they don't).

Books and me

Have you ever loved a book so much that after reading it, you couldn't bear to leave it  in the shelves? I used to tuck it into bed with me like a teddy bear. Now I've stopped because sometimes something like this would happen-

I wake up.
I look around.
I see the book has fallen from the bed.
I look closely at the book and........

NOOOOO! And gorgeous book covers like these do NOT deserve this to happen to them-

(Ah. So very pretty....)

Also, after reading the Hunger Games I insisted on a change. My sis' should start calling me Katniss and I'd call her Primrose. Yeah, the 'change' didn't even last an hour.*sigh*

PS. I'm sorry that my posts aren't longer but hopefully that'll change in time.

Family Movie Night

I've always wanted a nice Family Movie Night. So whenever a new movie premiered or after we downloaded a movie on the computer, I'd try to get my entire family in front of the screen.

Let me explain.................

This is what I think another family looks like while watching a movie together.

And my family? Well..............

You might have noticed that there's no father or son  in the first pic and I haven't drawn my dad(he's abroad) or little brother in the second. THAT, my friends, is because when I tried to draw a male for this post, he looked BEYOND RIDICULOUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I am absolutely serious. Maybe one day I'll post the pic as a joke but for now I just can't bring myself to do it....

Creepy Crawly

Hey, its me again. Mostly in blogs you write about current events and all but I REALLY enjoy drawing these pics.
Right now I'm going to share a difference between me and my sister. Here we go.

So this is my sis' and she sees a spider......

This is me and I see a spider.......

Okay, I admit it, the above IS exaggerated but I just found the pics hilarious so I decided to post it anyway.

I got 'The Two Princesses of Bamarre' a few days back and I finished it just a few hours ago. I LOVED it!
The ending was not exactly how I thought it would play out but the story was pretty good.

It was my mom's birthday on the 16th of September and we (my sis' & I) bought her a watch the day before. It was a bit expensive but it was pretty and we decided that it was worth it. We gave it to her the next day in the morning and she was really happy. We came back from school and found out that my mother had tried to wear it to work but the RIDICULOUS latch just WOULD NOT OPEN!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! ARGHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!
We're thinking of getting it fixed at a repair shop.

Anyway, that's all for now.

My Attempt At A Midnight Feast

If you've read books of Enid Blyton such as the Malory Towers series, The St. Clare's series and the Naughtiest Girl series, you'll know there are a TON of midnight feasts involved.
Enid also describes exactly what all food the characters eat.

For instance:-

'New rolls, anchovy paste, a big round jam tart in a cardboard box, oranges, lime juice, a fat lettuce and some ham sandwiches - it seemed a very nice assortment indeed.'

'She set to work to cut three big plates of well-buttered slices of bread, put out apricot jam, raspberry and strawberry, and a selection of home-made buns that made the children's mouths water.'(Generous, isn't she?)

                                                                    - Famous Five-Five Get Into Trouble

Need I say more?

So, I decided that I would do a midnight feast. I told Lily and my cousin who was staying over that day about my idea. Guess what their reaction was.

(I just hope my cousin doesn't strangle me for the way I've drawn his hair... )

So I decided to do it alone. This is what happened.

I went to bed somewhat early and set the alarm to ring at midnight.
When I did wake up at midnight, I went downstairs and found my mom watching TV.
I just grabbed some snacks and joined her. After a while, she left to got to sleep after telling me not to stay up too late. I went back to bed after about an hour or so I think.

I hope I'll have a more successful midnight feast the next time I do it.

Waiting for books

(My little sister whom we'll call Lily is watching 'The Conjuring' on TV right now and I'm hearing all sorts of creepy sounds.....)

Recently, I ordered 'The two princesses  of Bamarre' by Gail Carson Levine recently and I've learnt that for online shopping, it does take a while to actually get the products. In the beginning when I had started buying books online, I would wait a couple of days after the order was placed. Afterwards, I would ask my mom nearly each day after she came back from work and this would happen.

My mom : "Sorry, no it hasn't."

HEART-WRENCHING!!!!!!!!!!!

On a completely unrelated note, what do you think about this picture I drew on Lily's whiteboard?
For some reason, I feel absolutely proud of this drawing.

My Hunger Games Mania

For those of you who don't know what The Hunger Games is, it is a novel written by Suzanne Collins in which a boy and a girl, aged 12 to 18, are selected from each of 12 Districts to compete in the annual Hunger Games - a fight to the death on national TV. I admit this is still pretty vague but lets move on.

Being the crazy 12 year old I was, I thought that I would try out the idea of 'surviving' and began thinking about how I could capture the idea of doing that without ending up starved.

The following is what I wrote in my special notebook with a few edits. In the brackets, I just added a couple notes to help you understand better. Oh, and I also insisted on my sister joining me.

                                                              (Mildly speaking...)

23/12/13(I am so glad I wrote down the date that day!)

                                                Hunger Games

Timings - 5:30 am to 6:10 pm ( The plan was to wake up early in the morning and go into the backyard and come back home in the evening.)

Essentials -
  • Some plastic covers
  • Fruits(oranges and healthy fruits)
  • A big steel bowl for boiling water(Yup.We were going to make a fire and boil the water outside.)
  • Bow & arrow (I made one for fun but it also adds to the tough image.)
  • Matchsticks
  • Bible
  • Salt & pepper (Seasoning is important! I thought I'd be making some sort of soup with edible plants from our backyard.)
  • Small knife
  • Hairband and clips (To look presentable at all times!!!! )
Nature uses -
  • Mango leaves - brushing teeth (Its possible y'know.)
  • Chillies - food option
  • Coconut shells - bowls (Cover the inner hollow part with a clean layer of  plastic and there you go!)
Precautions ( Yup. I even wrote a list of precautions.) -
  • Mummy must give food parcels - in a lunch box or something and leave it out on the porch. She'll blow a whistle or make a specific noise several times and go back. We can then take it.( Amazing idea, huh?)
  • Don't go overboard and always stay  cheerful by singing songs or keeping busy doing other things.(I don't know what to say...I'm a bit sensitive.)
I did leave out a couple of things because this would just be too long. This was meant to be done for a week. Don't think I've actually left this idea. It evolved into a day of cycling around the neighborhood! I'll first have to get my bike fixed though.
Anyway, See ya!
