Okay, okay. I know that the title is bad. But trust me, I tried.
Let's get one thing straight. Barbie was a huge part of my childhood and it will always, ALWAYS have a special place in my heart. With that out of the way, let's get into today's post. This is gonna be just one story from "The Life of Skipper".

Barbie Princess and the Pauper was one of me and my sister's favourite Barbie movie. We LOVED it. So, we decided that my sis' Lily would be Anneliese(the girl on the left) and I would be Erika(the cat at the bottom right..... I'm kidding. Erika's the girl in blue).
So there's this scene *spoiler alert* (Erm, I don't think an alert is necessary because either you wouldn't want to watch it OR you've already seen it but I guess I have to. The internet is a very sensitive place. ) where the prince, who was originally going to marry the princess (Anneliese) ends up falling for the pauper (Erika) and asks for her hand in marriage.
Hem, hem. This is where my part of the story comes in. I was around 6-7 years old, I think. It was on a Sunday night, only about the millionth time(I've seen it plenty times more since then) I'd seen this movie and when this part came on, an idea popped into my head. It seemed fun at the time but little did I know then how much I'd regret it later.
My mom had just bought me this ring. It wasn't made of plastic (this story would've been COMPLETELY different if it had. Trust me. ) but out of some sort of metal. I wanted to slip it on my finger the exact moment that he slipped it on hers.
The scene came and I tried to slip it on elegantly. It got halfway in but wouldn't move anymore after that. So, being the genius that I was, I headed to the wash basin and used water and soap to push it in as much as possible. It was a tight fit but I was pretty content........ Until the moment I wanted to take it off.
I pulled and I pulled. I went and used some more soap. This time, for the opposite purpose
. Would. Not. Budge.
I was so scared. I had school the next day too. I went and told mom and after her failed attempts at trying to remove it, we decided to head to the Hospital. Yep.
The people there examined it and asked me questions like " How'd you put it on? ". They seemed pretty amused at the reply. Some attempts to remove it were made buuuuut ended with the same exact results.
Finally, this man came with a cutting tool and, with a bit of effort, cut it off. My Mom and I were so
relieved. Although, I think she was even more so. And so, we headed home with much, much lighter hearts.

So that's the story! I can't seem to remember what happened to the ring afterwards. But all's well that end well!
